Hail damage out, bold Onyx Black in
The Challenge
Hail damaged the roof on this Eden Prairie, MN home, and one of its skylights was at the end of its life too. The insurance claim covered the roof, and it made sense to handle the skylight in the same project.
What We Did
- Documented the hail damage and worked the claim through insurance
- Tore off the old shingles and checked the decking
- Protected the siding, entry, and landscaping with plywood and tarps
- Installed Owens Corning Duration shingles in Onyx Black
- Replaced the skylight with a new Velux unit, flashed into the new roof
The Result
