The Challenge

This Crystal, MN homeowner needed a full roof and gutter replacement and chose First Impressions Exteriors over several other roofing companies based on our experience. The existing roof decking was plank boards with gaps, and other roofers told the homeowner the whole roof would have to be redecked.

What We Did

• Installed Owens Corning Duration FLEX Class 4 impact-resistant shingles in Onyx Black
• Upgraded the attic ventilation with a continuous ridge vent
• Replaced the gutters
• Spot replaced only the decking needed to close the gaps that did not meet manufacturer requirements, saving the homeowner the cost of a full redeck
• Replaced the aluminum wrap around the garage door and added new weather stripping

The Result
