Hail Damage Roof Replacement in Edina, MN

Project Overview

A hail damage roof replacement in Edina, referred by a neighbor

The Challenge

Hail damaged the roof of this Edina home, and the owner filed an insurance claim to get it replaced. The homeowner came to us through a neighbor whose roof we had replaced and who was happy with the job we did.

What We Did

We replaced the roof through the hail damage claim, upgraded the ventilation, and used a new debris protection system on this job:

• Roof replacement with Owens Corning Duration shingles in Onyx Black
• Owens Corning ProArmor synthetic underlayment
• Converted the static roof vents to a VentSure ridge vent
• Our first job using the Catchall mesh netting system: breathable mesh nets set up on support poles around the home catch tear-off debris before it reaches the yard and landscaping, which keeps the property protected and makes cleanup faster

The Result

The home now has a new Duration roof in Onyx Black over ProArmor synthetic underlayment, with a VentSure ridge vent in place of the old static vents. The Catchall netting caught tear-off debris on our first job using the system, and the whole replacement was completed as storm damage restoration through the insurance claim.
